Why do I want to become a journalist?
Earlier today, Brian Lamb asked me why I want to become a journalist or broadcaster. To be honest, I really had no clue. Umm…Why do I want to become a journalist or a media broadcaster? According to the Society of Profesional Journalists, journalist give voice to the voiceless, recognize a special obligation to ensure that the public’s business is conducted in the open and that government records are open to inspection, and they have to be able to tell the story of the diversity and magnitude of the human experience boldly, even when it is unpopular to do so.
If those are the characteristics of a journalists, journalism and media is the perfect career goal for me. I am not only passionate about writing, but I have what most journalist are lacking, integrity. Futhermore, I would like to make an impact on the world by informing them on the hardships that are relevant in several countries today. Soo…. In conclusion, I would like to be a journalist because I want change and journalists have the amazing power to make a change by inspiring people with their words.
